Radio Meltdown

This audio was recorded from a radio on February 27^th, 2009.  It aired on 1520 AM WCHE in West Chester, PA.  It is not edited in any way whatsoever.  Part 1 begins with a promo that aired announcing a new show to be hosted by Jim Jones, a local politician, who I had lampooned in comedy bits in the past.  He had complained to the station via Certified Mail and in person several times demanding parodies and bits that mentioned his name be removed from the airwaves.  The announcement of his show greatly disturbed me and my listeners.  We discussed the matter throughout the show, even with a short visit by a local Cub Scout troop.  Towards the end of Part 4, you will hear where the station owner’s girlfriend burst into the studio and called me an asshole.  It did not go over the air because I hit the profanity delay button.  It is a very primitive delay, so you hear the following six seconds after the button is pressed repeat the same phrase as it builds up delay.  She then screams, “End the show!”  Next you hear over a full minute of dead air.   Since no one at the station knows how to operate the equipment, the station manager had to ask me to turn on the automated music.  This is not my last show.  I was fired three weeks later.  Enjoy.
